TV stopped powering on after less than 60 days. Kmart doesn't accept returns or exchanges after 30 days. I'm SUPER pissed!

Hello we bought this Seiki tv in November 2015 and two days ago (Sept. 2016) the screes goes blue. The sound still works but I can't get the pic to show. I contacted Seiki because paperworks says still under warranty (1 year) they had me send pics and paperwork via email and said I have to pay for shipping to them but the shipping will cost me close to 100.00 (expensive) Do you know if this is something I can fix myself. My TV is pretty new and the remote which is made very cheaply has stopped working. No one in the US to speak with and no response from the emails I have sent. I Think their product is cheap and would never use again. I have emailed twice, and the people on the help lime they give you are zero help. Bought on sale at K-Mart to use with exercise dvd's in bedroom. Assumed that all TV's were made in China and had been perfected (?) No research on my part. TV I was replacing was 3 years old from Best Buy. I am a Katrina survivor and these were my first flat screen TV's. So 2 down in 5 years. I see now on line they have a wonderful one year warranty so I guess these are a good buy for college kid dorms??? Read more

POS after only 1 and 1/2 years will not turn on. Red light stays on, but won't turn on, either via button on tv or remote. A few days ago, the blue light would come on, but screen stayed black and no sound. At that point, if you messed with it, I could eventually get it to turn on. Now, nothing. From what I read, sounds like a main board is out. Which is *** to me, on a tv that's not even 2 years old. *** product, *** company!!! Read more

bought the seiki 50 inch 4k in sept . after the first month the tv would randomly turn on and off at random times. contact seiki said i would have to pay the shipping to send it back which i was quoted 400$ to ship to them. I bought the tv for 500.i told them the tv was a month old , they told me it didnt matter . Screen went black after 3 months. Finally was replaced three mos later after I paid for shipping. 18 mos later replaced screen went black. It seems it is a Seiki problem 2 for 2 black screens in 2 yrs. buyer beware
